IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- 2024 Northeast Institute runs Sunday, July 28 – Thursday, August 1.
- On-site office locations:
- Staff office: 2045
- Regent/Advisor/Faculty office: 2044
- On-site class advisor meetings:
- Sunday, July 28 at 12:30 p.m. —Group photos will be taken.
- Monday, July 29 at 1:30 p.m. (2044)
- Tuesday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. (2044)
- Wednesday, July 31 at 9: a.m. (2044)
- Thursday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. (2044)
- Attire for the week is casual to business casual (always professional), however volunteers typically dress in business casual or business attire (for those in a leadership position) for graduation.
- Class presentations and additional resources can be accessed through the Event Hub. —All materials will become available on July 18, the day after registration closes.
- Note that power strips will NOT be provided in the classrooms, and outlets are limited. Attendees should come to class with charged devices and bring portable chargers, if desired.
- Graduation will be held Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. Graduates should arrive shortly before 6:00 p.m. to take pictures. Other class photos will be held after the ceremony in the following order: Scholarship recipients, Class 3-1, Class 2-1, Class 1-1. You are expected to organize your class to take photos. Classes will be asked to remain in their seats until they are called to take their photos. Please remind them of this and help to organize them when the class is called.

- Welcome Video (June 28): Upload a video of yourself sharing your tip for Institute attendees to be played at Kickoff. You do not need to introduce yourself, as this will be shared on screen while you are speaking. The video should be approximately 15 seconds and recorded in landscape, if possible.
- Site Registration (July 16): Register as a Class Advisor. For ‘registrant type’ select the fourth option down for ‘volunteers and faculty,’ choose your volunteer type and class level when prompted, and then complete the rest of your registration. All volunteer sign-ups, including course audits, elective attendance, and other on-site responsibilities will be completed during this process.
- Ask Me About…Buttons (July 16): A new addition to Institute’s on-site networking strategy is the use of buttons to introduce more casual conversation on topics outside of the workplace. If you are interested in participating, please provide your discussion topic by completing this form, and your button will be waiting for you on-site!
- Pre-Site Information Session (July 18): If you are available, please attend this meeting at 1:00 PM Eastern. This is a great opportunity for attendees to meet their Class Advisors face-to-face and get any questions they have answered. The first-year advisor is especially encouraged to attend. A meeting invitation has been sent to you: please let Isabel know if you have any issues with joining.
- Industry Consultations (July 19: If interested in facilitating industry consultations on-site, please complete the sign-up form here.
- App (Pre-Site): Be sure to download the on-site app. Search for Attendee Mobile in the App Store or Google Play, search for “2024 Northeast Institute,” and select the event. Please be sure to log in with the email and password used at registration.
- Social Media (Pre-Site): Remember to like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram, and tweet at us @iomeducates on-site using the hashtags #iomeducates and #NortheastInstitute.

NEW POLICY REGARDING THE USE OF AI IN INSTITUTE MEETINGS
AI enabled assistants will not be allowed to join Institute board/volunteer meetings and other calls that are a safe space which requires presence and participation. AI enabled assistants are, however, allowed in information sessions, orientations, webinars, and other such calls, which are also recorded. Institute Staff has authority to remove AI enabled assistants when deemed appropriate. Please contact iom@uschamber.com with any questions or concerns.
