Director, Programs and Operations, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation

Jaimie M. Francis is director of programs and operations at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation (USCCF) Center for Education and Workforce—the nonprofit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce dedicated to strengthening the nation’s educational standards and the quality of its workforce. Francis develops and manages the center’s programs for higher education, youth employment, and workforce development and oversees the operations of the division. She also teaches the center’s Developing a Competitive Workforce course at the Institute for Organization Management (IOM), USCCF’s premier nonprofit professional development program for association and chamber professionals, fostering individual growth through interactive learning and networking. Francis is a 2016 graduate of the IOM program.
Previously, Francis oversaw policy and programs, including the center’s annual summit, and built coalitions with other nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, and businesses. She was instrumental on the research and development team for the publication Leaders & Laggards: A State-by-State Report Card on Public Postsecondary Education focusing on transparency and accountability. Most recently, she oversaw the production of the reprisal of the first Leaders & Laggards, which examined K−12 educational effectiveness, and wrote The Path Forward: Forging Partnerships to Improve Education.
Before joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Francis worked for the Division of Student and Academic Support Services as a program coordinator at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She began her career as an admissions counselor for her undergraduate alma mater, Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She received her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Francis lives in Washington, D.C.
