Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world, provides a vast array of activities and attractions. Relax on the beach–Loyola Marymount University is just steps away from the Pacific Ocean–or visit Venice Beach, which features an impromptu street carnival. Take advantage of myriad tourist attractions including Disneyland, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Sign, and the Walk of Fame, or watch a Dodgers' game or a live television show taping. To learn more, visit the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The University

Loyola Marymount University, founded in 1911, is located on the Westchester Bluffs between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles. The 150-acre main campus is beautifully situated overlooking Marina del Rey. Classes, breaks, and exhibits are held in University Hall, located near the main entrance of the campus. University Hall houses the campus bookstore, a cafe and dining room, and a parking deck.

Where to Stay

On-Campus Apartments – Leavey Apartments
The on-campus apartments are the preferred housing option for West Institute.  Those who stay on- campus are just a short walk to classes in University Hall and will experience continued camaraderie shared throughout each day’s activities.  Even after Institute classes and planned activities have ended, those in the dorms will have the opportunity to further network and establish bonds in an informal environment.
